Saddle River Project
A new project where a Son wanted to surprise Mother with a complete ‘makeover’ of her primary residence. that our New Jersey Floor experts at Floor Town completed. Floor Town was given a narrow time frame (8 days) in which to refinish and install approximately 1,200 sq feet of new flooring. Project scope included repairing multiple ‘flooring inconsistencies’ throughout the house (i.e., leveling gaps between adjoining rooms; custom-manufacturing new toe-kicks to install under kitchen cabinets in order to compensate for drop in kitchen floor level; re-securing sub-floors with screws before laying plywood and hardwood as to eliminate ‘squeaking’ noise; re-securing all house sub-floors to original joists to insure structure stability.) I used floor town for an installation of new hardwood floors throughout an entire 3 bedroom home. The installers were very professional and the job included demo of the existing hardwood and tile throughout the entry way and kitchen. They also nailed the entire subfloor to the joists to eliminate squeaking and glued and nailed the new hardwood throughout. To finish, they installed new base trim throughout the house and cleaned the floors to perfection before leaving. I was very impressed with the thorough planning before the project began, including pictures and measurements of every room. There was a minor issue that was discovered weeks after the install in a corner of one of the rooms and they were at the house in under 2 days to correct it and make it just like new. Definitely would recommend them to a friend. –Jason
