Englewood Ice Cream Store Facelift Project
Ice cream store – situated in high-traffic, busy downtown commercial area of Englewood – in need of a complete ‘face lift’ to attract new customers to store. The flooring throughout the store was uneven and bumpy. In addition the existing cinder block walls were covered in a combination of patch, glue and broken tile – unattractive to the eye and a challenge to remove.- Entire floor was leveled with jack-hammers; the subfloor re-secured and lifted several inches.
- Walls were stripped down to the original cinder block, insulated, sheet-rocked, and finished off with a beige 12X12 porcelain tile.
- Before installing tile around and between the windows, each one needed reframing with metal trim.
- Wall in customer area was entirely re-built
