Berkeley Heights Project
Here is a project that our New Jersey Floor experts at Floor Town completed that had a customer looking for inexpensive options to spruce up home before the holidays. In the upstairs guest bedroom, Floor Town installed a beautiful, wood-looking laminate product, extending it through the adjoining hallway. The staircase leading to this hallway was also in dire need of a new carpet which Floor Town installed as well. Lastly, customer had grown tired of the worn out, old carpet in the family room, and ended up asking Floor Town to replace it with a rich looking 5″, hand-scraped Acacia wood product. The attached pictures reveal the family room’s rough, stone fireplace. During the flooring installation, Floor Town’s skillful craftsmen ‘scribed-in’ the wood planks along the contour of the stone, giving it a more aesthetic appearance overall. In addition, a self-leveling compound was used to fill in the “belly” of the Family Room, resulting from some unevenness and sloping in certain areas of the room. This leveling process allowed for proper glue down of the hardwood and maximum adherence to the sub-floor.Photos from the Berkeley Heights Remodel Projects
